Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) in blood is widely used as a clinical biomarker. The ORSIN tube effectively addresses technical challenges including genomic DNA (gDNA) interference, cfDNA degradation, crosslinking reactions, and cell activity preservation.

This product is used for venous blood storage and transportation, as well as for stabilizing subsequent cfDNA detection. It is a vacuum glass/PET blood sample collection tube suitable for non-invasive prenatal screening, tumor early diagnosis, efficacy evaluation, and related research.

Product Effectiveness

The ORSIN tube was compared with EDTA and competitor tubes in evaluations including: preventing cellular genomic DNA release, inhibiting cfDNA degradation, preventing crosslinking reactions, and maintaining cell activity. Testing showed the ORSIN tube can be stored at ambient temperature for 14 days and transported for 7 days, effectively preventing gDNA release and maintaining cfDNA stability without degradation while preventing hemolysis.

Static Test Results

Independent evaluation of genomic DNA (gDNA) release and cfDNA degradation showed Competitor Tube 1 had significantly more gDNA release and degradation than the ORSIN tube after 3 days. The ORSIN tube effectively prevented gDNA release and cfDNA degradation during 14 days of static storage at 25°C.

Figure 1: 14-day static storage evaluation of Competitor Tube 1 vs. ORSIN tube. Two DNA fragments containing EGFR L858R and Kras G12D mutations (150bp) were synthesized and added to blood collection tubes. After 14 days at 25°C, plasma was separated and cfDNA was extracted for qPCR detection.
